Tim started as an assistant to a still life photographer Adrian Flowers where he stayed for two years before moving to Paris where he assisted Helmut Newton and among others Paolo Roversi and Knut Bry.
Having worked for two years in Paris he was offered the opportunity to work with Bill KIngs in New York where he then stayed for another two years and where, after his time with Bill, he worked with Michele Comte.
His own career as a photographer started for Tim in Milan where he began working for various fashion magazines. On returning to London his interest in movement began after having been commissioned to photograph the Bolshoi Ballet and then the Kirov.
In the late 80's Tim was asked to photograph interiors in the same way he photographed the ballet and this started a change in direction away from fashion.
Tim's natural style in capturing the essence of real life in a controlled setting has led to him being commissioned by a variety of clients from HSBC to Hermes.
